For Date #9, Jeff completely resolved my computer issues (that’s just the kind of sweetie he is!). Oh, and we also had lunch at a BBQ restaurant in Bartlett, northeast of Memphis proper. I’ll say this much, there are lots of undeveloped land up in Bartlett. Won’t be that way in, let’s say, 5 years.
Because I always give credit where it’s due: Jeff snapped most of these pics.

History of the restaurant name (on backside of menu)
Cute neon sign inside the restaurant
I ordered Hickory Smoked Turkey Breast Sandwich
Served on a toasted bun with tomato, lettuce and pickle
Jeff ordered the Pig-N-Beef Combo Platter
He wanted french fries and BBQ baked beans for his two sides
We unanimously agreed on a Chocolate Brownie a la mode for dessert
Mmmm, nice, fudgy brownie!
Jeff had dibs on the ice cream and I somehow shared some of the brownie :p
While we would like to give our meals a favorable review, we both agreed they weren’t anything to write home about, nor would we ever return.
I have some super news though! This BBQ lunch date helped contrive an idea for this blog. I’ll give you a hint: Memphis and um, barbecue. Any guesses? Okay, I won’t keep you in suspense. Because I’m more of a dessertie, I’ll go on a *tour* of Memphis BBQ restaurants for their desserts! I can’t wait!
Good thing we dined first because afterwards, we got busy going in and out of stores. I did learn one *new* thing about Jeff: He’s a clearance shopper at grocery stores. Apparently he doesn’t fail to do a quick looksie of the clearance shelf.
Much later for dinner, we ran to the Border (Taco Bell :p) where I finally tried this…
Mango Strawberry Fruitista Freeze
Silly me– I was so excited at finally tasting this, I hadn’t looked at the cup itself!
There we go! I learn from my mistakes…sometimes fairly quickly! :p
The drink was a bit too sweet for me and also forgettable like our lunch
Stay tuned for something festive (’tis the season, y’know).
