Drive-Thru Nativity

Concordia Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas, hosted their annual Drive-Thru Nativity last month (December 15-16).  I was so excited to see it, well, ’cause I’d never been to a drive-thru Nativity before.

Upon arriving, Chip and I were handed a bag of homemade cookies (yum!), then minutes later, an audio CD to play in the car’s CD player.  Each of the sets (there were at least 10) narrated a story, mainly about the events leading up to the birth of Jesus Christ.  What impressed us the most were the beautiful backdrops and real-life actors ranging from babies to full-grown adults.  We spotted a few live animals too.

We can’t wait to see this amazing holiday production again next year!

I found a 7-minute video clip of the Drive-Thru Nativity posted three years ago.  Enjoy!
