The morning after baking Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Jeff wasted no time stepping up to the plate for his next challenge: Double Chocolate Chip Muffins.
He was a total sweetheart for letting me focus on bloggin’ while he slaved away in the kitchen (you’ll see exactly what I mean in an upcoming post).
A few ripe bananas sat on the counter. I’m a little fuzzy on who suggested adding one to the mix, but since Jeff did all the work, I’ll let him take the credit. :p
The nanner was a solid homer! I can’t be sure I’ll ever eat a chocolate chip muffin without thinking how much more tasty it’d be with a touch of banana. That’s how much it’s ruined me.
I almost forgot to mention that photographing these scrumptious things took 3x longer than norm. Jeff lives up on a hill and while there was sunlight coming through the window, it was either casting a shadow or hitting the muffins where it just looked odd on film. I’d never been so frustrated snapping photos, especially of desserts! :p
