If I haven’t already mentioned it, I moved 7 states over without my Kitchen Aid mixer. In fact, I moved to Memphis without a lot of things, but that’s besides the point. LOL. I’m having to “make do”. Honestly, it’s not too, too terrible for now. Emphasis on the “for now”.
I’m happy to say this blog will get top billing of my free time from here on out. I neglected it for far too long (okay, only 3 months, but still!). I’ve been compiling a list of recipes I’m fixin’ (hey, a Southern vernacular snuck in) to make in the next few months without my beloved kitchen appliance. Lately, taking the easy way out has been my m.o. (there I admitted it!). I’ve been baking brownies and trying the various Nestle break-apart cookie doughs. Gonna hold out as long as I can from buying all the staple ingredients real bakers use, like hmm, flour….sugar…baking powder… since there’s really no point. That’s like being all dressed up with nowhere to go! C’mon, how fun is thaat? And until my mixer somehow makes its way towards my neck of the woods, the oven is still being put to good use. Here’s proof:
One day, I’ll get my act together and not wait to take photos late in the day (reason for the blue hues)
Loaded with Peanut Butter Chips

Look! The filling’s being pretentiously coy
And while I occasionally enjoy a peanut butter cookie, I really can’t say these are worth a cookie dough run (similar to a “beer run”), LOL.
On the other hand, these babies are worth having in your freezer at ALL times.
The other Nestle batch I like is:
Wait ’til they’ve cooled down before downing one…or two…or three
The ooey-gooey caramel filling make these delish

Either one will be ready to eat in 20 minutes, except the Turtle Cookies…..hold off for as long as you can while they’re cooling. Trust me on this. 🙂

I’ll be subscribing to your blog and I hope you write again soon!
Love those.
Really looks like it is delicious.
Mouth watering. Yummy!!
I bought the peanut butter cookies Saturday they are what we like best. To my surprise an disappointment they were chocolate chip but the package said peanut butter. I wasn’t happy about getting something other than what I bought. My husband ate them so they didn’t get wasted. I wouldn’t eat them don’t like chocolate chip.
