This date, lucky #7, was during Christmas (yes, I realize I’m 3 months late posting)! Better late than never is my motto! :p
I was hoping for a low-key, STrESs-less holiday, and by golly, I got what I wished for. For me, eating delicious homecooked meals, baking goodies, and exploring cities are the best pastimes in life. How I managed to have all 3 for Christmas (no less!) is still something I’m trying to wrap my head around. I mean, at most, 2 out of 3 happens, but never has all 3………
….until last year!
Maybe I dreamt it. Wait, can’t be! I have photos! :p
Jeff showed off impressed me with his culinary skills.
The Breakfast of Champions
Belgian Waffles all buttered up and ready for the hot syrup
And later for dinner….One-step Lasagne with garlic bread
Together we baked…
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Make this recipe soon, it’s a keeper!
Jeff singlehandledly took on making these delectable muffins.
Double Chocolate Chip Muffins with Banana He used a muffin mix, but you’d never know it wasn’t from “scratch”
And we did some sight-seeing…. to look at the beautiful Christmas lights in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Almost dusk
Night view of the same “tree”, which can be seen from miles away
Building in downtown
State Capitol Building Lights on the left weren’t lit up

The only time I was antsy was during our search for a specific 2010 Day Planner for me. What can I say? I’m extremely picky about certain things. I was faced with either doing without or worse yet, having to settle. We found exactly what I was looking for at our 2nd stop, good ol’ WalMart. Yippee!
Overall, I’d say I got the hang of low-key holidays. :p
