Desserts for Valentine’s Day (Dessert #4)

I think this is a Millennium Cake ’cause even the employees at A La Française (in San Diego) weren’t sure. No label in the display case and they had to look in their catalog.
The bummer part is the restaurant closed down a couple of months later.
Millennium Cake
Chocolate cake with layers of praline, chocolate mousse, and white sponge cake with espresso-flavored cream
The cake was très bon (that’s French for very goood)!
Those of you in San Diego who are now achin’ to try a Millennium Cake, stop by St. Tropez Bakery and Bistro either near Horton Plaza or in Hillcrest (here’s their Opera Cake).
Dessert #5 will be from Café Zucchero.
