Dreamin’ of a Dessert Xmas -> New Year (Dessert #6)

I’ll get this off my chest off now: I am soooo not a cupcake kind of gal. I’d eaten a few here and there growing up, but it’s not something I really got into. When the cupcake rage began a few years back, you’d think as a dessertie, I’d be beating down bakery doors to get a taste, but nope, never happened.

This blog forces me to venture into the unknown, the land of I-never-would-have-tried-this-before. While I was still living in San Diego, I went on a Cupcake Hunt, and while I’ve yet to round up all the contenders (photos), *this* one kicked royal butt. And to think I’d never eaten red velvet until stepping foot in Daily Scoop in South Park.

Daily Scoop is an ice cream shop, so if you’re wanting to get your licks, be sure to inquire if they have red velvet cupcakes too. This is anything but a typical cupcake! I’ll go on record by saying I loooove this cupcake!
