My oldest brother was in town recently unlike the first time….and we all went to Extraordinary Desserts near Balboa Park (Downtown). As long-winded as I sometimes get, this time I’m cutting to the chase to give you a pictorial depiction. BTW, everything was mmmm first-rate.
Truffe Framboise
Raspberry and kirsch soaked chocolate cake layers are surrounded by bittersweet Valrhona chocolate mousse, with fresh raspberries bursting inside and out.

Passion Fruit Ricotta Torte
Tropical and light, this torte is made of ricotta cake layers, soaked with passion fruit juice and layered with passion fruit whipped cream, kiwis, strawberries and bananas.

This was labeled “Apple Croistini” but there weren’t any apples in it, only “Pineapples”. LOL. So maybe it’s called “Pineapple Croistini”.
