In the upcoming weeks, I’m hoping to tackle my list of restaurants and bakeries I have yet to try. For the past week, the 60/70 degree weather has finally settled in. I’m glad too ’cause freezing temps do a number on me, not to mention all the layers of clothes I have to wear (yes, even indoors) just to stay comfortably warm. I’m sooo not a four seasons kind-of-gal. Gimme sunshine and the occasional rain. I’m so ready for Spring.
One place I can cross off my list is:
Mesquite Chop House in downtown Memphis
From the dessert tray of maybe 6 mouthwatering treats, I chose this:
Pecan Fudge Pie
It was fudgy (mmmmm!) and tasted more like a brownie than a pie
Topped with toffee pieces and chopped pecans, then drizzled with caramel
