REVIEW: Starbucks Lemon Loaf

It’s not like me to stop in a Starbucks. I love the smell of coffee brewing, but I don’t drink the stuff. Tried it once (regular coffee, not the fancy-schmancy stuff) during college in the hopes of keeping me awake after an all-nighter partying. I was desperate! I needed a jolt of caffeine and hoped coffee would do the trick! I couldn’t get past the taste but gulped it down anyway…and it DID NOT keep me wide-eyed and alert. Needless to say, I never gave it another shot.
The reason for my Starbucks stop-over will be revealed in my next post. THIS post is about their Lemon Loaf. Yummm. This could be the start of me going to a Starbucks more often. 🙂
If you look close enough, you can faintly see the Starbucks logo of the bag (right side) and the seams on the left side. I ripped open one side of the bag and snapped picture. Tricks of the trade, y’know! LOL.

Any chance you have a replicate recipe for this? I searched the web and got a few hits but nothing tastes even remotely like it. The lemon icing always came out too sweet and runny or soft.
