After lunch at Germantown Commissary with Jeff, we embarked on the fun part of our date, sight-seeing.
A hop, skip, and jump away from the restaurant were historic photos and a marker. It immediately dawned on us we were in the historic district of Germantown.
There were a few more of these photograph “stands” outside a small building
Clock
Historic marker about the city
Train station
Railroad track
We had parked across the street from the Germantown United Methodist Church.
Church sign
I love how the trees and building perfectly framed the steeple
On our way to downtown Memphis, I spotted a church along Summer Avenue with a statue right above the entrance. Being the sweetie that he is, Jeff turned around and parked the car so we could take photos (I used “we” loosely here since I pretty much handed him my camera :p).
Façade of the St. Michael Catholic Church
Statue of St. Michael, the Archangel
The year this church was founded
Jeff pointed out this typo (LOL) and of course, I insisted he snap a shot
