Do you do the “Dew”?

So out of the blue I get an email inquiring if I’m a Dew fan.  Why, yes I am!  Was it the Mountain Dew Christmas Tree post that gave me away?  LOL.  In collaboration with Deana, she’ll be sending a case of Mountain Dew Voltage to one lucky winner.  Not one, two, six, or even twelve….24 bottles of this cool, refreshing, raspberry citrus  drink with ginseng will be delivered to someone’s door!  Wowww!  Talk about a caffeine hook-up!  Winner can then decide to keep ’em all to her/himself or zap 23 other friends with this electrifying drink.  I’m throwing in two $5 7-Eleven gift cards  as consolation prizes for 2 “runner-up” participants.  If you like your drinks chilly, 7-Eleven has Voltage Freeze Slurpees too!

I started drinking Dew back in grade school. For field trips, my mom would let me pick out a soda to pack and I never strayed from Dew.  The other sodas didn’t cut it for my taste buds.  Just a few hours ago, I needed a jolt and Voltage was the perfect *juice* to get me in gear to write this post.  Dew fans:  If you haven’t tried it yet, ya won’t be disappointed with the raspberry flavor!!

So far, I’ve only tried the original and now Voltage.

Drawing will close on Thursday, March 12th @ 10pm PST. One entry per person, please.  Limited to United States and Canadian residents only.  The grand prize winner and two “runner-ups” will be chosen at random (not based on responses) using Random Integer Generator and will be announced Friday morning.

    Which flavors have you tried? I have tried mountain dew original, diet mountain dew, mountain dew code red, mountain dew baja blast, mountain dew live wire, and mountain dew voltage. I have to say my favorite is Oringal Mountain Dew..

  3. I have been a DEW-head for as long as I can remember. I have tried all the flavors and I would have to say that the original DEW is the best.

  4. I first tried dew probably early 80’s…Have had the cherry, code red, regular, blue…pretty much anything new I see i try..love it!

  5. I have been drinking Mountain Dew since I was about 10 years old. I love the flavor. I have not really tried any of the other flavors yet Hopefully soon if I win!

  6. I just started drinking Mountain Dew a few years back. I have sleep issues and only get a few hours each night, so I need the caffiene boost it gives me to get through the toughest days. I’ve only tried the regular and the diet varieties, so it would be great fun to try this one. Thanks!

  7. I’ve been a Mountain Dew fan since 1970. I remember when they were in the dark green glass bottles with the hillbilly on the front saying, “Ya-hoo! Mountain Dew!”

    I would beg my grandma for a dime to buy one from the machine- and it always tasted SO good in the hot summertime.

    I’ve only tried the original and the Mountain Dew red- I’d love to try the other flavors.

  9. I’ve been drinking Mountain Dew ever since I was a little kid, which is a while. I really only drink the original Mountain Dew, but have tried the diet version and Code Red once or twice.

  11. My kids loved Mtn Dew and I tried the diet version but preferred my diet Dr Pepper. Meanwhile kids still love their Mountain Dew. We have tried code red, the blue and purple versions, and of course my diet ones. The kids clearly favor the original Dew.

  13. I probably started drinking the Dew when I was in Jr. High… it was the “cool” thing to drink as it’s loaded w/ caffeine and sugar. What more could a hormone ridden, boisterous young kid want, right?

    I can’t say that I drink the Dew regularly anymore, but I’ve had my share of Diet Dew, which isn’t all that bad. I haven’t tried any of the Dew variants yet.

  19. I can’t remember when I first had Mountain Dew. Sometime eons ago when I was a kid, I think. I have tried regular and diet, & Code Red. I also remember getting some once that was almost a black color…I think that it might have had a grape taste, and it was out near Halloween.

  22. Gosh, I can’t remember when I started drinking Mountain Dew. I know that I drank it high school but I might have started before the, I used to drink the regular Mountain Dew but now I mainly drink Diet and Voltage. Thanks!

    Since I was 6 years old! It was the only pop anyone would respectfully drink in Minnesota!

    Back when I was in highschool, I received a few coupons for a free can of pop when I bought a slice at Pizza Pizza. I usually drank pop from the coke line, and Pizza Pizza only carried the pepsi line. Instead of 7Up, I decided to “Do the Dew” and try it. I haven’t stopped trying it 🙂 – I like it’s unique flavour.

    2. Which flavors have you tried?

    The original and a special edition cranberry one (I think? It was a red one). I’d love to try the new volt flavour!

  25. I have been drinking Mountain Dew since my college days over 15 years. It has saved me by keeping me up so I could finish my school work. I am a classic Mountain Dew fan.

  29. I first tried Mountain Dew as a kid when I took a trip to the US many years ago. We couldn’t buy it in Canada at the time and I brought home a few treasured bottles to enjoy until my next trip back. The first time I walked into the store in Canada and saw a display of it I thought I had died and gone to heaven. No more long road trips for me to enjoy my favorite drink, just a quick walk to the store.
    My favorite is still the original Mountain Dew but I also have tried the Diet and Code Red.

  30. I’m actually not a Dew fan, but my teenagers are crazy about it. They usually drink the original or the cherry, and I’d love to win this for them.

  33. I first tried Mountain Dew in middle school. My best friend had a ton of them in her fridge and she gave me one. I was hooked! I’ve tried the regular, voltage, and diet Mountain Dews. All good!

  35. I love Moutain Dew! I have to have one every once in awhile even though im supposed to have just a little caffeine. I also loved the pitch black flavor. the sour grape was so good!

  36. I used to drink a lot of Mountain Dew, I guess it was in the late ’70s/early ’80s. It was my drink of choice back then. Now I drink it once in a while; mostly at my mom’s because she stocks Pepsi products in the fridge. I do like Mountain Dew Code Red, and I’ll get that when we’re at a fast food joint if it’s on the fountain.

  38. Somewhere around tenth grade I completely stopped drinking colas and drank purely Dew (1994ish). At one point I was drinking 3-4 2-liter bottles per day. I’ve tried all the flavors, but my fav by far is definitely Game Fuel.

  41. I can’t remember exactly when I started drinking it but it’s been a while! I am not a coffee drinker so I always grab a mountain dew for a pick me up. I have tried original, baja blast, code red and live wire. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  46. My son is a Mountain Dew fan (about 2 years) and has tried the Code Red and Supernova. He has to drink Mountain Dew or some other none dark soda because he is kidney patient on dialysis and it turns out that cola type drinks are very hard on the kidneys.
