GIVEAWAY: Case of Mountain Dew Voltage & two $5 7-Eleven gift cards

Do you do the “Dew”?

So out of the blue I get an email inquiring if I’m a Dew fan.  Why, yes I am!  Was it the Mountain Dew Christmas Tree post that gave me away?  LOL.  In collaboration with Deana, she’ll be sending a case of Mountain Dew Voltage to one lucky winner.  Not one, two, six, or even twelve….24 bottles of this cool, refreshing, raspberry citrus  drink with ginseng will be delivered to someone’s door!  Wowww!  Talk about a caffeine hook-up!  Winner can then decide to keep ‘em all to her/himself or zap 23 other friends with this electrifying drink.  I’m throwing in two $5 7-Eleven gift cards  as consolation prizes for 2 “runner-up” participants.  If you like your drinks chilly, 7-Eleven has Voltage Freeze Slurpees too!

  1. How long have you been Dew fans…or when did you first try Mountain Dew?
  2. Which flavors have you tried?

I started drinking Dew back in grade school. For field trips, my mom would let me pick out a soda to pack and I never strayed from Dew.  The other sodas didn’t cut it for my taste buds.  Just a few hours ago, I needed a jolt and Voltage was the perfect *juice* to get me in gear to write this post.  Dew fans:  If you haven’t tried it yet, ya won’t be disappointed with the raspberry flavor!!

So far, I’ve only tried the original and now Voltage.

Drawing will close on Thursday, March 12th @ 10pm PST. One entry per person, please.  Limited to United States and Canadian residents only.  The grand prize winner and two “runner-ups” will be chosen at random (not based on responses) using Random Integer Generator and will be announced Friday morning.

  1. My hubbie and I both drink Mountian Dew. We have tried Voltage, Diet, and we still prefer the regular Mountian Dew. I have been drinking Mt. Dew since I was in college and My husband has been drinking it for the 10 years we have been married.

  4. How long have you been Dew fans…or when did you first try Mountain Dew? I have been buying Mountain Dew my entire married life. My youngest son is the family’s biggest fan, I think he drinks gallons of it a week.

    Which flavors have you tried? Just the regular classic Mountain Dew.

  7. I have been a Mountain Dew fan as long as I can remember. Probably from the late sixties (if it was even out then). I have only tried the original flavor and love it.

  8. I first drank Mountain Dew on a trip to Suffolk Va. from Wash. D.C. That was about 40 yrs ago. It was not sold in the washington area at that time, at least I had never seen it. I remember reading on the bottle: Yahoo, Mountain Dew, It’ll tickle your inards! I thought that was funny being only around 12 yrs old. I still love the original, and I do like Code Red. I wish I could get a cold BOTTLE now. Gary

  9. I’ve been drinking Mountain Dew for over ten years. Tastes great and when my doctor said to drop some weight, just switched to diet Dew. Tastes great and keeps me from packing the pounds back on.

  12. I tried Mountain Dew a couple of years ago and I liked it a lot. My favorite is the original flavor. I am going to try the voltage because I work the 11-7 shift and it might just help me “make it through the night”. Thanks.

  14. I started drinking Moutain Dew around 20 years ago in high school as it was available in the vending machines. I had it for breakfast and lunch every day. I have tried the Code Red, Baja Blast and Live Wire. I also bought the Halo pack for my husband when that was out, but he didn’t share. Thanks!

  24. I’ll never forget the day that the manufacturers sent a Mountain Dew truck to our high school to give away free samples of this uniquely new drink. It took school officials over an hour to realise what was going on and stop the givewaways. Lots of bottles were given away that day! I’ve only tried the original. Thanks for the diet form.

  30. I started drinking Dew at about 15 … I switched to diet a few years later, because it tastes the same but with no calories. :)

    I think those are the only two kinds I’ve ever tried.

  35. I first drank Mountain Dew in college. I was told it would help give me a boost during some exam cram time. My friend was a D&D player and apparently they all drank a lot of the stuff. :) I tried their Code Red once, but the original has the taste I like the best. :) Thank you for the giveaway!

  39. Mmmm Mountain Dew. When I was a kid, we didn’t have soda often, but Mountain Dew was what I would always request when we were at a restaurant, so I’ve been drinking it since then. I drink diet now, usually, but voltage is SO good - I love raspberry. I hope they start making that in a diet version! I’ve also tried the other two flavors they had as part of their poll for the new flavor, but they weren’t as good.

  42. I have been drinking the regular Mountain Dew since for about 10 years. I have not tried any of the new Dew flavors because I like the regular kind so much. But i think this giveaway has kind of inspired me to be a bit adventurous and try something new in their line of flavors.

  56. I remember drinking it as a kid and my mother getting uber-frustrated because I was already hyper enough with the mega blast of caffeine. So I’ve been drinking this for over 40 years (if it’s been around that long…).

    The only flavors I’ve had are the regular and diet.

  89. I don’t remember when I first tried Mountain Dew. The truth is I don’t like it very much. Sorry. My daughter loves it though. She used to drink Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi. Then she had a tonsillectomy and doesn’t like those any more. She always liked Diet Mountain Dew but now it is the only soft drink that she will drink.

  166. Ok, Mountain Dew fans are numerous in our family. They love Mountain Dew and drink large quantities and have been for years. I am old, I can’t remember for how long i have been buying Mt. Dew. Long Long Time.
    We have tried lots of the new flavors, they always go back to the regular I like the Code Red myself. The Orange is good, My nephew always gets the Blast. The voltage would be a huge hit at my house.

  168. I am a BIG Mountain Dew fan! I’ve tried all flavors - even the three from the competition that Voltage was picked from (which I voted for, BTW). I think I had my first Dew around the age of 10, so 14 years ago. I’ve been an addict ever since. My very favorite is LiveWire, which sadly they do not sell where I live. All my friends know that if they go anywhere that has LiveWire, it’s mandatory to bring me back a few bottles or cases. :)

    I can’t say that I drink the Dew regularly anymore, but I’ve had my share of Diet Dew, which isn’t all that bad. I haven’t tried any of the Dew variants yet.

I usually drank pop from the coke line, and Pizza Pizza only carried the pepsi line. Instead of 7Up, I decided to “Do the Dew” and try it. I haven’t stopped trying it :) - I like it’s unique flavour.

We couldn’t buy it in Canada at the time and I brought home a few treasured bottles to enjoy until my next trip back. The first time I walked into the store in Canada and saw a display of it I thought I had died and gone to heaven. No more long road trips for me to enjoy my favorite drink, just a quick walk to the store.
    My favorite is still the original Mountain Dew but I also have tried the Diet and Code Red.

  238. Somewhere around tenth grade I completely stopped drinking colas and drank purely Dew (1994ish). At one point I was drinking 3-4 2-liter bottles per day. I’ve tried all the flavors, but my fav by far is definitely Game Fuel.

  239. i have drank mountain dew for over 10 years since i was in junior high.
    i have only tried the regular mountain dew, i gotta have at least 1 a day.and that’s cutting back for me LOL

  241. I can’t remember exactly when I started drinking it but it’s been a while! I am not a coffee drinker so I always grab a mountain dew for a pick me up. I have tried original, baja blast, code red and live wire. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  243. Im not sure when the first time I tried Mountain Dew. Probably when I was about 10 or so. I believe I’ve tried them all, including the three new flavors.

  246. My son is a Mountain Dew fan (about 2 years) and has tried the Code Red and Supernova. He has to drink Mountain Dew or some other none dark soda because he is kidney patient on dialysis and it turns out that cola type drinks are very hard on the kidneys.
