What stands out as my best Christmas gift ever is Electronic Battleship. I was good that year. And it’s not like my brothers and I went lacking with games either. In fact, we had a closet-full (okay, half a closet…the other half was for our jackets) collected over the years: Monopoly, Chess, Checkers, Dominoes, Mah-jongg, Risk, Backgammon, Parcheesi, Pick-up Stix, playing cards, Bingo, Jax, Operation, Jenga, Chinese Checkers, Pictionary (also a Ping Pong table and a Basketball Hoop mounted over the garage!)…and those are the ones I can remember! I think I liked Electronic Battleship so much because of the cool sound effects! I’m wEiRd like that. Thank you Santa! 🙂
Drawing will close on Monday, December 8th @ 9pm PST. One entry per person, please. One winner will be chosen at random (not based on responses) using Random Integer Generator and will be announced Tuesday morning.

My fine print: Your entries will be used for entertainment purposes only! I will never ever share your private info with others. Winner has 48 hours to respond to my notification, otherwise a new winner will be drawn.
The winner is Clara!!! Please check your email. You’ll have to decide which one you & hubby want more–AMEX or Best Buy.
There were two late entrants, and while I normally wouldn’t count their entry, this is a Christmas giveaway, and I’m no Scrooge.
I loved reading everyone’s most memorable gift..and in some instances, I was close to tears (the good kind). A number of you got engaged or received a puppy! Aww! It’s so great that a lot of you recall the sentimental gifts from your childhood. 🙂
I’m thinking my next giveaway will be books. I’m still contemplating though…
Thank you all for participating…and I hope everyone’s having an exquisite holiday season!
UPDATE: A boo-boo on my part! In my expeditious efforts of deleting spam comments, I accidentally deleted the last dozen or so comments of this post. Oopsie!

My most memorable gift was from when I was a child and my parents bought us girls a Nintendo! We were so excited! I’d want the Barnes and Noble gift card if I won as I love to read.
My most memorable gift was my 3 speed bike with hand brakes when the rest of the kids in the neighborhood still had regular bikes with fat tires and brakes that worked with the pedals. I thought it was so neat that you could make the pedals go backward while you were riding forward. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!
Christmas at 7yrs old I recieved a cowgirl hat and boots. My mother bought my sister a pony for $28 at a local auction. She looked like a cow.
I would like Ebay gift cert to buy grandon cowboy boots!
It was the year of my purple phase. I was in the 7th grade and asked that any gift that I received had to be purple. My friends and relatives humored me, and it was like Barney had exploded in our living room. I had purple up the wazoo, and I was one very satisfied teenager.
If I win, I’d like the Barnes and Noble gift card, thanks.

I remember the year I got the Little Miss No Name doll that I wanted SO badly. She came dressed in a gunny sack, and had a little plastic tear on her cheek.
Barnes and Noble card would be my choice. Thanks!
My most memorable Christmas gift was when I was in fifth grade and my parents got me a laptop. Man, was I a happy kid!
I’d want the American Express.
My most memorable Christmas moment was when I tried to hide so I could stay up and see Santa but fell asleep before he got there. It was also the first year I got a barbie.
I’d love the American Express giftcard because I have a baby on the way and could use it to buy some diapers. 🙂
My most memorable gift is the first drawing my son made for me. I’d choose the American Express card.
I got a set of slot racing cars for Christmas one year, and I think they are still in the attic at my parent’s house.
My most memorable gift was my Doogan dog. I still have him 30 years later – no eyes, worn fur and all.
I’d choose the Barnes & Noble card – there are a couple of books I’d love to read!
Thanks~
My most memorable Christmas gift was small “television” that played slideshows from books that you read along with and also played music and songs.
I would choose the Starbucks giftcard.
My most memorable gift is the American Girl doll Samantha. I would like the Best Buy card. Thanks!!
My most memorable Christmas gift was an ornament that said “our first christmas” and my husband had it engraved with our names the year we were married.
If I were to win I’d choos the American Express gift card or the Barnes & Noble gift card.
Thanks for a great contest!
My most memorable gift was my Barbie Airplane set. It was way better than the townhouse b/c you could pretend it flew which satisfied the latent Tomboy in me. I would prefer the BestBuy gift certificate to further satisfy the latent Tomboy in me. Thanks.
My most memorable Christmas gift was a homemade ornament sent to my son by his “secret Santa” on a parenting forum. It looked just like a gingerbread cookie, and had his name imprinted on it.
I’d love Barnes and Noble!
