I’d like Starbucks. It would save me lots of money! nI spend Thanksgiving alone. I fix a cornish game hen glazed with orange marmalade and honey. I bake a potato, have asparagus and a glass of merlot.
For dessert, I have pumpkin cheesecake.

It is my grandmother’s 95th birthday, so the whole family will be together this year! My neice is expecting her great, great, grandchild in May. We will have turkey, dressing, potatoes, green bean casserole, apple salad, pumpkin and pecan pie with whipped cream and a whole lot of togetherness! I get to cook for my family this year: turkey, homemade stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, flaky rolls, mashed potatoes, asparagus, veggie casserole, and pumpkin and apple pies. I would love a Starbucks card (I teach and it wakes me up!)

Every year since I can remember Thanksgiving is always at my parents home. My mother does the main dish and all of us kids bring the rest. We always have the traditional American Thanksgiving Feast which is a huge Turkey that my mother will bake and my father will carve. My mother also makes her chestnut and raisin stuffing which is out of this world! My husband and I will descend upon their house with our 3 young children and we are bringing this year the butternut squash, mashed potatoes, and rolls. My sister and her husband come with their 4 children and they are bringing the deserts which are pies that they bake themselves. My sisters husband went to a culinary school at one time in his life so he is quite the little top chef in their home. All in all, we eat way too much, but it is my favorite meal of the year that I look forward to each Thanksgiving! We will gather together all 6 of us and we each say out loud what we are thankful for this year and pray.
Then we settle down have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. We will be having a delicious golden and juicy turkey with Chestnut and Apple Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes – walnuts, marshmallows, brown sugar,& a savoring Pumpkin Pie.
We have neighbors that are 74 & 68 years young come over because they no longer have family to have a nice meal.

We will be having the usual turkey and dressing meal, with salads, vegetables and desserts. What will make the day lots of fun is our first ever family costume contest. The costumes will be made after the meal and each person can use only brown paper, scissors, scotch tape or staples, colored markers, and string. The categories are pilgrims, Indians, or turkeys. With over 9 people, it should get interesting.

We like a traditional setting since both kids are coming home from college, they look forward to it. Besides the traditional turkey and company, we have Paska Bread with raisins…an old-fashioned treat, that brings back memories of Grandma in the Depression and this was her gift to give to other families…we do the same each year!
