Whole Foods’s bakery, June 2010 edition

Oh my gooodness! The Bakery department at Whole Foods here in Memphis is quickly becoming my favorite hang-out for “eye candy”. Not men, mind you, but tempting treats like these!

A couple of months ago, humongous cupcakes monopolized their display cases. So sometime between then and now, their selection expanded to Cannollis, mini cupcakes (maybe “dieters” suggested smaller portions?), and Chocolate-covered Cheesecake Bitelettes. It’s actually a good thing I’m not a cupcake kind-of-gal ’cause I’d be broke and weigh 10 extra pounds (okay, 12). However, I enjoy ogling all desserts, yes, even cupcakes. I’m not one to discriminate. Ogling is lotsa fun. It’s free and zero calories. Tearing myself away is another story.

And unlike last time, resistance was futile. :p

I had reason, I was celebrating (see my next post)!

Stay tuned to find out which one of these I bought. I’ll give ya a hint: It wasn’t a cupcake.

  1. I am actually a baker/cake decorator at the Whole Foods in Chapel Hill, NC! It’s a fun and dangerous profession, I tell ya…
