Monte Vista & Easter Cookies

Before Easter, Chip and I drove around Monte Vista, a historic neighborhood here in San Antonio, with gorgeous homes (built between 1890-1930).  The architecture alone is reason enough to take a drive or walk through the handful of streets just north of downtown.

And then to cap off a great afternoon, I spotted this…

There was no way we’d pass up going inside and seeing the selection.  Easter desserts were all the rage that week, and these cookies especially so.

Instead we chose a few cookies from their cookie bar.

Clockwise from top left:  Rosemary Shortbread, Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Cowboy Cookie (I think)

Left to right: Two chocolate Mexican Wedding Cookies, and Mexican Wedding Cookie
We both really liked the chocolate Mexican Wedding Cookie….yummm!
